HUBUNGAN ANTARA SIKAP IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF PADA BAYI 6-12 BULAN

Pemberian ASI eksklusif selama enam bulan pertama kehidupan bayi merupakan rekomendasi penting untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan optimal bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara sikap ibu dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan. Studi ini menggunakan desain survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sebanyak 40 ibu menyusui di UPTD Puskesmas Simpang Kanan, Kabupaten Aceh Singkil, dipilih sebagai sampel melalui teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 65,5% ibu dengan sikap positif terhadap ASI eksklusif berhasil memberikan ASI eksklusif, sedangkan hanya 8,3% ibu dengan sikap kurang mendukung yang berhasil. Uji statistik menunjukkan nilai p = 0,012 (< 0,05), mengindikasikan adanya hubungan signifikan antara sikap ibu dan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sikap positif ibu dalam mendukung keberhasilan menyusui eksklusif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan edukasi dan dukungan kepada ibu menyusui melalui intervensi tenaga kesehatan dan keluarga untuk mempromosikan pemberian ASI eksklusif yang optimal.
