Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality and quantity of borehole water used for household consumption in Uritetu Subdistrict, Ambon City. The method applied is a descriptive quantitative approach, with water samples collected from six borehole points. Water quality was assessed using physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters based on Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017, while water quantity was analyzed through discharge volume compared to daily clean water standards per capita. The results indicate that several water samples contained excessive iron and coliform bacteria levels, rendering them unsafe for consumption without further treatment. On the other hand, the overall availability of water is still adequate for daily needs, although it decreases during the dry season. These findings highlight the necessity of regular water quality monitoring and groundwater conservation efforts to ensure the safety and sustainability of community water resources
