This study aims to analyze the quality of seawater based on physical and chemical parameters at three different locations in Ambon Bay: Pasar Mardika, Poka Village, and Rumah Tiga Village. The physical parameters examined include temperature, color, turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), and dissolved oxygen (DO), while the chemical parameters consist of biological oxygen demand (BOD), phosphate, and salinity. The results show that most physical parameters remain within the quality standards set by Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. However, there are indications of slight pollution related to phosphate levels at all observation sites. Salinity levels in all locations are below the standard threshold, suggesting potential mixing with freshwater due to high rainfall, river inflow, and human activities. Elevated phosphate levels pose a risk of eutrophication, which can disrupt the balance of the marine ecosystem. Therefore, routine monitoring and improved management of domestic waste are necessary to maintain water quality and support the sustainability of marine life in the coastal areas of Ambon Bay.
