HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DENGAN KEJADIAN OBESITAS PADA REMAJA

Obesitas pada remaja merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang terus meningkat dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya aktivitas fisik. Rendahnya aktivitas fisik akibat perubahan gaya hidup sedentari diduga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kejadian obesitas pada remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Lara Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi sekaligus sampel penelitian berjumlah 61 remaja berusia 10–19 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Aktivitas fisik diukur menggunakan Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQ-A), sedangkan status obesitas ditentukan berdasarkan Indeks Massa Tubuh menurut Umur (IMT/U). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan p<0,05. Mayoritas responden berusia 15 tahun (52,5%), berjenis kelamin perempuan (55,7%), memiliki aktivitas fisik kategori ringan (55,7%), dan tidak mengalami obesitas (77,0%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja (p=0,000). Temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa obesitas tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas fisik, tetapi diduga berkaitan dengan faktor lain seperti pola makan, asupan energi, kebiasaan sedentari, dan faktor genetik. Aktivitas fisik berhubungan signifikan dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja, sehingga peningkatan aktivitas fisik perlu diintegrasikan dengan edukasi gizi dan penerapan gaya hidup sehat sebagai upaya pencegahan obesitas.
