Efektivitas Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Geogebra Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Pada Materi Transformasi Geometri Siswa Kelas Ix Smp Negeri 39 Padang

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model assisted by GeoGebra on students mathematics learning outcomes in transformation geometry for grade IX students at SMP Negeri 39 Padang. This research employed a quantitative quasi experimrntal method with a Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of 128 grade IX students distributed across four classes. Using simple random sampling, class IX.B was selected as the experimrntal group and class IX.C as the control group, with 32 students in each group. The instrument was an essay mathematics learning-outcomes test covering transformation geometry. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially through normality, homogeneity, and independent-samples t tests at α = 0,05. The experimental group obtained a mean score of 76,69, whereas the control group obtained 58,00. The results indicated a significant difference between the two groups test produced a P-Value of 0,000 ( P<0,05), and an effect size of 1,35, which is categorized as a large effect. The findings indicate that Discovery Learning assisted by GeoGebra is more effective than convensionak learning for supporting students mathematics learning outcomes in transformation geometry.
