This study aims to analyze the theory and practice of State Administrative Law in Indonesia, particularly the principles of good governance and the scope of its study. The research employs a normative juridical method with a qualitative approach, using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials collected through library research and analyzed descriptively. The results show that State Administrative Law functions as an instrument for regulating and controlling society, as a means of citizen participation, and as legal protection for both citizens and state administrators. The principles of good governance serve as binding guidelines for state apparatus in carrying out government duties, while the scope of State Administrative Law covers specific objects, such as spatial law and building permits, as well as general objects, such as the general principles of good governance. This study contributes to enriching the literature on State Administrative Law by synthesizing classical theories and their relevance to the Indonesian context, and it emphasizes the importance of implementing good governance principles to create a democratic, authoritative, and just government system.
