Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of trust, payment methods, and price on down payment transactions on the Biak Dagang Online (BDO) platform, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 185 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that all research instruments were valid and reliable, and the regression model met the required classical assumptions. Partially, trust had no significant effect on down payment (p = 0.649), while payment methods had a significant negative effect (p = 0.011), and price had a significant positive effect (p < 0.001). Simultaneously, trust, payment methods, and price had a significant effect on down payment (F = 152.600; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.717, indicating that 71.7% of the variation in down payment was explained by the three variables, while the remaining 28.3% was explained by other factors outside the model. These findings confirm that price and payment methods are important factors influencing down payment decisions on the BDO platform.
