Abstract

The work entitled "Feminine Romantic style Combination of Sarong Silungkang" is inspired by the feminine Romantic style and Sarong Silungkang. Feminine clothing style is identical with a calm and sweet impression, and is dominated by soft color design lines. Romantic clothing characteristics have now become a trend. Romantic style or romantic style is a sub-flow of fashion that has a feminine or ladylike style but is not limited to its use only for women. This clothing elevates party wear. This clothing uses Silungkang sarong as a combination in feminine romantic clothing. Sarong Silungkang is a traditional textile typical of Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra. This fabric is known for its checkered motifs and the use of gold or silver threads that give a luxurious impression. Silungkang fabric also reflects the identity and local cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation by the weavers. In the realization of this work, semi-boutique and haute couture techniques are used. The creation method carried out starts from preparation, namely searching for references or books related to the creative idea being made, conducting a survey by observing the Silungkang Sarong fabric factory to obtain sources of ideas and formulate creative ideas to understand more deeply about the form of the work being realized. This work uses the trend of Romantic Fabrics and Textures in the form of a fashion show presentation. Then the details of sequin embroidery and rose-shaped corsages on each outfit. This party dress uses clothing levels such as ready to wear, ready to wear deluxe and haute couture. The materials used are satin, organza and Silungkang sarong wastra fabric which adds a traditional and local cultural impression.
