The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, particularly generative AI models, has fundamentally transformed educational paradigms worldwide, creating unprecedented opportunities and challenges for teaching professionals. This systematic literature review (SLR) synthesizes empirical evidence regarding Indonesian teachers' readiness to integrate AI into classroom instruction, following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Twelve peer-reviewed empirical studies published between 2022-2025 were systematically analyzed, revealing that Indonesian teachers' AI readiness exists on a multidimensional spectrum encompassing AI literacy, AI-enhanced Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (AI-TPACK), psychological factors, and institutional support. While basic digital literacy appears adequate among Indonesian educators, conceptual understanding of AI principles, pedagogical implications, and ethical considerations remains limited. AI-TPACK emerged as the strongest predictor of AI adoption intention, with self-efficacy serving as a critical mediating factor. Institutional support—including clear policies, visionary digital leadership, and professional learning communities proved essential for sustainable AI integration. However, a significant gap persists between technical competence and pedagogical-ethical readiness. These findings underscore the necessity for comprehensive, contextual, and sustained professional development programs that transcend instrumental training to cultivate holistic AI literacy, pedagogical integration capacity, and ethical awareness among Indonesian teachers. This review provides an empirical foundation for evidence-based policy formulation, teacher training program design, and strategic AI integration planning aligned with Indonesia's educational context.
