Proses Peer Review
Hatunuku: Jurnal Pendidikan IPS applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, integrity, and objectivity in the publication of submitted manuscripts. The review process is conducted in the following stages:
-
Initial Screening by the Editor
Upon submission via the OJS system, the editor conducts a preliminary check to evaluate:-
The relevance of the topic to the journal’s focus and scope
-
Adherence to manuscript formatting and structural completeness
-
Potential plagiarism using detection software (e.g., Turnitin/iThenticate)
-
-
Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers in the appropriate field of expertise. The process is double-blind, meaning both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. -
Peer Review Process (Double-Blind)
Reviewers are given 14–21 working days to assess the manuscript based on originality, scientific rigor, methodology, clarity of argument, relevance of references, and scholarly contribution. Each reviewer provides one of the following recommendations:-

Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes the final decision:-

-
Revision by Authors
If revisions are requested, authors are given a maximum of 14 days to submit the revised manuscript along with a response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment. -
Final Review
The revised manuscript will be re-evaluated by the editor and/or the reviewers. If the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the manuscript will be accepted for publication. -
Production Stage
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the final editing stage (copyediting and layout), after which authors will be provided with page proofs for final proofreading before official publication.
