The Role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Assisting Twelfth-Grade Students in Developing Mature Career Planning

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam membantu siswa kelas 12 di MAS Tahfidz Rokan Hulu dalam mengembangkan rencana karir mereka. Masalah ini berakar dari rendahnya kematangan karir di kalangan siswa, termasuk kebingungan dalam memilih jurusan kuliah, keterbatasan informasi karir, dan tekanan keluarga. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini melibatkan guru BK dan siswa yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru BK berperan sebagai fasilitator, konselor, mediator, dan motivator. Mereka memberikan informasi karir, penilaian minat, dan konseling individual untuk membantu siswa mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai pribadi, potensi, dan arah karir. Bantuan juga diberikan melalui bimbingan kelompok dan kolaborasi dengan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan BK yang terencana dan berkelanjutan meningkatkan kematangan karir dan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan siswa. Pendekatan humanistik yang disinergikan dengan nilai-nilai spiritual terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa mengintegrasikan potensi pribadi dengan tujuan jangka panjang. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan program bimbingan karir dengan meningkatkan ketersediaan informasi dan kolaborasi dengan orang tua dan lembaga pendidikan tinggi. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa peran konselor bimbingan sangat strategis dalam mengembangkan perencanaan karir siswa untuk pendidikan tinggi atau transisi ke dunia kerja.
